Nor’Easters Scholarship
The Hollis Nor’Easters Snowmobile Club exists to promote safe snowmobiling, multi-use trail management, good conduct, sportsmanship and safety. It is our goal to establish and uphold a good image for the sport of snowmobiling, to promote a better understanding between snowmobilers and property owners, to aid local and state officials in rescue operations which would necessitate the need of snowmobiles, and to aid in conservation of wildlife and forestry.
One or two annual scholarships may be awarded to a high school senior of exemplary character who:
A. is part of a family of a club member.
B. demonstrates an active interest primarily in the sport of snowmobiling, or secondarily in trail management and maintenance.
C. exemplifies a commitment to community service.
The amount of the scholarship is as follows:
A. $500 for a grantee entering a two year program.
B. $1,000 for a grantee entering a four year program.
Each student must fill out the enclosed application and, if called upon, attend a personal interview with members of the Nor’Easters Scholarship Committee. The grantee will be presented the scholarship at the scholarship awards night. Payment will be made directly to the school.
