Child Snowmobile Safety Class

The Hollis Nor' Easter's Snowmobile Club is holding it's annual course for children on snowmobile safety. Children of all ages are welcome (up to age 18), but only children between 12 & 18 will receive a safety certificate.

From the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association Website:
Any operator 12 years of age and over must show proof of an approved safety education class or possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license. Any operator under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a licensed adult over the age of 18. Any operator under the age of 12 cannot cross roads. Any operator under the age of 18 cannot carry a passenger on a 3 or 4-wheel ATV. Any operator under the age of 18 must wear a helmet and eye protection. Any passenger under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.

Start Time: Class starts at 8:45am (registration at 8:00am)
Finish Time: 2:30pm
Location: Lone Pine Hunter's Club, 114 Rideout Rd, Hollis, NH
Cost: a $20 donation that will go to a local charity (parents are free and encouraged to stay)
Who should attend?: Children under 18 years of age. Children 12 and over will receive a certificate of completion allowing them to legally ride off their parents property and cross state roads. Parents are welcome, and encouraged, to stay with their children.
Subjects Covered: Safety Issues, Proper Clothing & gear, Responsibilities of a snowmobiler, Alcohol/Drugs, Operating techniques, Emergencies, etc.
What to bring: A snack (a pizza lunch is provided)
